Evocative coloring and energetic inks as always. Business as usual like EPMD. Also, I'm laughing at how even the sound effects cast a shadow. That's pretty dope!
ey, thanks Adrian! that free pass show you guys did was pretty funny, though i wanted to jump into the podcast and have it out like "Crossfire" ;p thumbs up too, for knowing Mucha was Czech in the Lois VanBaarle interview.
Back 'atcha, Chris! That Free Pass episode was a lot of fun and sparked some debate akin to Crossfire for a couple of weeks thereafter. Again, it was us just BS-ing around yet being totally honest about how we felt. As for Mucha, I'm a stickler for factoids. I'm the type who talks back to a podcast if they misquote an issue number or something like that. I know... shameful...
Also, a couple of weeks ago, I framed that page I bought at Heroes from the Legends of the Dark Knight story. I'm looking over at it now and its one of the handful of original pages on my wall that I glance at when I'm drawing my own pages. Just in terms of thinking is my comics work as on-point as this?
yeah, i totally appreciate the BS-ing of the "free pass" episode, s'why i love a good Erik Larsen interview, and miss the critiques from art school. so....when's there gonna be a podcast about comics press with the same theme? ;p as far as framing a LOTDK page, its my inclination to argue with the wisdom of that, but ill just take the compliment: shucks, thanks sir, im honored.
This classic Kickstand Kids image is now available for the 1st time online! The beautiful full color poster measures 16 by 20 inches and is printed on lustre finish paper so it's not too shiny and you don't have to be all Squintin' Tarantino. $15 USD + shipping and handling (International orders may require additional postage).
