on the low

so, inking this took awhile. it's a Crumb movie poster Rico and I did for Eric Skillman, an A.D. for the Criterion Collection DVD's. Eric rounded up a bunch of artists (Scott Morse, Matt Kindt, Jason Latour, etc) to create posters for the movies playing at the Criterion Cinema, part of the All Tomorrows Parties in Monticello, New York this past weekend. I was working on this and listening to director Jim Jarmusch, who curated the event, talk about it on NPR; but hadn't yet figured out CC and ATP were related. dur. so yeah, I'm pleased as punch we had anything to do with it. (Rico's smart and to-the-point muppet thumbnail-> )

Iggy and the Stooges, the Breeders, Sonic Youth, the Vivian Girls, GZA, Raekwon, Todd Barry, Hope Sandoval+ the Warm Inventions, and many more played; Thurston Moore co-hosted the Criterion Cinema with Jarmusch. holy sh*t.
