someone on DA asked about ref for this shot, and as much as i hate to de-mystify, i'm guessing by the time you see it in print you'll have forgot this happened.

just who is the 5 o'clock hero?
Terrence from the Dollar Bin said it was the Best HeroesCon Ever. yes. Thanks to those who stopped by just to say "hey", if you picked something up hopefully it was good bang for your bucks, we did better than we had any right to expect. Thanks also to Shelton Drum and the rest of the crew at Heroes Aren't Hard to Find, it's my favorite convention put on by my favorite comic shop, you all are tops. was a blast to meet/nerd out with our people on Team Comics; the folks from 12 Gauge, Sidebar, Dollar Bin, Gaijin, Twenty Two, DeviantArt, Sketch Charlotte, SCAD, along with Jedi Masters and fellow artists/fans. missed the fam that couldn't make it; Andrew, Shawn, Mikey and especially Jim Royal. taking smoke breaks with Jason Pearson and James O'Barr is absolutely surreal. so were Rico's Kickstand Kids sneakers.
this is for a sketchbook of 70's soul singers as DC superheroes; was so difficult to whittle that list down to Ms. Khan, and i grew up with her 80's tunes, and this isn't what it could've been, but....anyways.
