the kids get around

No comics yet? Here's some pages i was just revisiting this weekend at the Comics Art Forum at the Savannah College of Art and Design, the black and white versions are in the book "Working Methods" by John Lowe. Just got back from attending SCAD's Comics Art Forum and am all jazzed about comics as a whole- will post more about this soon enough. Comics. Yes.
A big thanks to Rico for keeping the momentum going while i was away, some of the older work is embarassing, but the halloween costume is top. The Renzi's are away on a family trip, so it'll be just me for now.

thanks! usually i select the linework and color over it in another layer. not sure about rico though, i think he sets up his pages weird. but mine are probably weird too. you could just select and fill maybe?

It was great meeting you at SCAD! These are the very pages that originally awed me when I went to visit Pat and Shawn a couple of years ago before I started teaching too. Gorgeous work. Hope to see you back some time soon!

Always loved these. Such a shame that none of the color saw print.

Good stuff Chris. I got the "Working Methods" book because of you guys work(with Kelsey Shannon as well). Great read on artists working methods. Still amazed at your inking tools.

myron....macklin? by any chance? either way, thanks! im amazed at the inking tools in that book too- they were kind of absurd, in my hands anyway. too tiny, allowed for too much detail. rico held together a ridiculous amount of linework.
hey hey nolan, it was great to meet you to! sorry time was so short, it was a relief to hear your thoughts on Lebron work. course ive always dug your art, but the quality of student work in ATL spoke so highly of your teaching. hope to see you next year.
